In India, there has been a noteworthy demand increase for midsize SUVs, as a result, more automakers are competing for its market share.

The Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and Maruti Suzuki Fronx are a few of the cars in the mentioned category. Tata Motors comes into the picture of this category with its Tata Punch and Nexon. The next big awaited product under this segment comes the Tata Curvv in Tata's portfolio.

Due to India's current National Elections schedule, the original intent of Tata to release this new car, in the very first half of 2024, got affected. And now to market the Curvv, Tata reportedly has planned to begin production of the EV version first followed by diesel and Petrol variants going forward, by the middle of 2024, which means the public can get their hands on it by June 2024.

In addition, Tata prefers to wait to enter a new market until they are confident in their ability to produce and deliver its present models. Launching by late 2024 or early 2025, both petrol and diesel versions will be on sale. Production is scheduled to begin in September.

At this year's Bharat Mobility Show 2024, Tata unveiled a virtually production-ready variant of the Curvv. It has some unique features for the EV variant, but otherwise, it looks rather similar to the Nexon. Most commonly said, people are also starting to call it a cheaper version of the Lamborghini Urus.
